This E2T2 Grant was awarded to Esko, Proctor and Lake Superior School Districts to bring datacasting technology directly into the classrooms using content from our partners at PBS Channel 8.
Each participant will receive (1) Projector, (1) Smart Airliner, and 3 days of training to integrate digital curriculum content into the classroom.
Each participant will also receive a $350.00 stipend for attending training – Attendance is mandatory at the training workshops.
Mandatory Meetings/Trainings
1. Wednesday, September 17th – 4:00-7:00 Introduction Meeting at Proctor High School – Teachers will receive preliminary grant information, PBS content information, and will receive their actual hardware (projector and airliner) that evening. Mileage is on your own, but dinner will be provided.
2. Advanced Integration Workshop (Agenda) Workshop Survey http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=nZvhprmYZ5TCQJZiZiEapw_3d_3d (Teachers may pick from ONE of the three date/location options:) Teachers are encouraged to choose the date in their own school’s location, but you may attend at another date/location if needed. All participants much attend one of these dates. Mileage is on your own, but refreshments will be provided. Date/Location Options: Saturday, October 4th. 8:00-2:00 @ Esko Saturday, November 1st. 8:00-2:00 @ THHS Saturday, November 22nd. 8:00-2:00 @ Proctor
3. Saturday, March 21st: Winter Evaluation Meeting – 9:00-3:00 at Proctor High School - Teachers will present lessons and share ideas for technology integration methods used in the TRACK Grant project. Mileage is on your own, but lunch will be provided.
After the final training session on Saturday, March 21st, a stipend check will be issued to each participant for $350.00. In order to receive the stipend, teachers must attend all three training sessions in full as part of the grant guidelines.
